Kodi has come a long ways from its early days as XBMC and continues to only get better.
Kodi 17.6 Krypton is the newest version of Kodi to be released and has some major interface changes.

There is installers for most any type of hardware from a Windows PC to a smartphone.
No matter the hardware Kodi is installed to the interface and settings remain the same.
At first the interface looks very different from the old Kodi interface but underneath there is a lot of familiarity.
The new default Skin is called Estuary.
Kodi 17.6 Krypton has some big upgrades and improvements over previous versions.
Beside the updated Estuary Skin interface many new features are being added to Kodi Krypton including native support for Amilogic ARM 4K chips, Android de-interlacing to improve live TV streams and much more.
Steps to Setup Unknown Sources in Kodi 17.6 Krypton
Kodi Krypton needs a box checked called Unknown Sources to install add-ons such as Exodus.
Click the Settings Icon in the top left corner
System Settings
Be sure to be in Expert Mode
Add-ons
Turn ON Unknown Sources
A warning box will come up click Yes
To move back with a Windows install right click an empty space on the screen.
After Unknown Sources have been set to ON, repositories and add-ons can be installed.
The steps are similar to older versions of Kodi with a repository URL needed to be setup and than the add-ons installed.
Below is a step-by-step install of Exodus . The same steps can be used to install any add-on by changing the URL to the repository it is in.

I installed the app by following the steps above for my step father. Tv shows seemed to work however when I click on a movie and select a stream it acts like it’s loading but then kicks back to all available streams. I’ve restarted the fire stick. And it just does the loading. And then when I try on mine it doesn’t act like it’s going to load. It just sits on the movie menu. Could someone please help. I’m so confused

Hi, sorry to hear….usually that error means you did not spell the source exactly as shown or that the source is actually no longer good. Unfortunately there is a lot of information out there that should be deleted or have a status on it when its no longer valid; but what doesn’t work for you may work for someone else; or it may work again one day. I am having the same problem as another person when I click on zip file there is no repository file so I am just stuck I started all over again and got the same result can this be fixed if so explain it to me like I am a novice because I am.

On my Kodi settings pagei only have six choices. There is no addons choice. You have ten choices in tutorial. How can get the addons choice on Kodi homepage so I can proceed with the download.

Yup, right now. You said “should I delete everything” but you get nervous thinking you’ll never get it back right ? I was the same way. Delete the entire kodi deal. BOOM !! Do it !! Turn the thing on and get nervous because you just lost everything.
Fear not bro. Follow the above steps and you have it all current, updated, the whole deal. Once you really get ballsy you go onto YouTube to find stations you cannot access or find. That’s s whole different level of being pissed. Trial and error. Only way I learned. Good look. ( Find-The-Flow)

I’ve followed multiple guides and each one is having an issue for me. My friend pointed me to this guide, yet I’m still getting an issue at step 11. I’ve allowed unknown sources, tried Kodi in admin and non admin mode… When I get to step 11, and click xvbmc file, I just get a loading circle for a moment and then nothing happens…
You probably made a mistake is step 5; the url needs to be entered EXACTLY as instructed.
Covenant is not in the list. In any list!!!!!!!!!

to install the kodi app go to kodi playstore look for the official kodi 17.5 install download it then go to google chrome in your app section look for “http://mediarepos.org/kodistuff/” down load the apks like terrariumtv , modro, redbox, hdmovies bobbys, freeflicks, etc then go to your app section again click on the app installer Wireless is an excellent souce on how to download , Covenant, ares wizard, etc

What is the difference between Exodus and Elysium? I have the latest Kodi 17.4 and i am using just the Firestick. Sometimes when i try to load Kodi now, I get the loading circle, but it just spins forever. I have gone to the device in settings and restated 5 times in a row and it will work at that point. But if i put it to sleep for several days, unused, i have to restart device again. What could be causing this issue?

Try d/l the file again and make sure your path is correct. One 2x click and you should see clickable.zip file..

Hi All, I get stuck on step 15, this happens for ALL repositories except the kodi repository.
I tried everything allready and becoming desperit.
My problem started after reinstalling Kodi on my android smart TV, before, it worked, but because of several ‘small’ problems i decided to clean install KODI. (I never do that again :-))

Fusion Repo has gone down. Install Specto Fork which is the same as Exodus, or use Ares Wizard to install Exodus.

can you provide instructions on how to install all that stuff to a semi-newbie? I am trying to install exodus via the super repository. I installed the super repo and tried installing exodus, i get an error message “the dependency on the script module urlresolver version”. I don’t know what that means. I previously tried installing exodus via fusion but had the same issues as everybody else. Don’t know if the three exodus files you mention have been downloaded with fusion in the file manager or not. Thank you for your help!

Try using how to install Genesis Reborn, this program works, the quality is a little wanting but it’s good for now until the server or a better program is out. Very similar to Exodus

Need to make sure you have indigo installed first. Go back into install from zip go into fusion click where it says begin here install indigo and make sure it’s updated.

Need some help have a qbox that came preloaded with Kodi 16 ,went to upgrade to 17 and lost all my addons in the process, followed the instructions to get exodus back on and it kept saying “could not connect to repository ” tried it multiple times then deleted and reinstalled Kodi 17 same thing , so then I did a factory reset on my qbox and got Kodi 16 back up and running , still haveing the same thing come up with 16 “could not connect to repository” plus I can not download certain addons or update certain ones either

Every time I search a show on Exodus it does it whole load, so I chose the episode then the provider. Again it acts as if its loading and then nothing! stops loading and goes back to the list of providers. I’ve tried multiple providers. I have updated the add on, I have uninstalled exodus, and when that did not work I uninstalled Kodi. Then reinstalled kodi and then exodus again! Still the same problem. I got Game of Thrones to play. But nothing that I truly want to play is playing. I did get a “go to this webpage and pair” message, and I finally gave in and tried that. Still doesn’t work!!!!! HELP!!!!

I cannot access kodi 17 menu after I installed No Limits. When I select the kodi 17 app, it launches straight into No Limits. I’ve tried selecting kodi 17 from my apps on the homepage and still I cannot find the kodi 17 menu. It always launches straight into No Limits. How can I fix it. Any help would be appreciated.

got to step 14 on my pi running openELEC and kodi 17 but i get an error saying unable to download. im trying now to figure out what is causing this.

Hi, I just got a new kodi box and tried to install Exodus. It seemed to look all fine. Like many others all installed as per tutorials online and when I open exodus to watch something it’s always ‘no stream available’! Been at this for 3hrs and it’s no further forward!!!

Hi I need help, getting kodi nice and easy getting fusion/ exodus nice and easy, this is for firestick most recent downloads.. but when i try to search i keep getting no streams available. I must have something blocking them, i have unkown sources ok. But nothin please help new to both firestick and kodi.
I have been working with a windows computer that uses a 50 in tv. I love kodi 16.1 it is solid as a rock, user friendly and reliable. I started wirh XBMC so I have a long history with new builds.
Koddi 17.1 just plain sucks, it is cumbersome and awkward to manuver thru. Every tv app has harsh buffering, I had to go back to my original stream sut pctv that I have used more years than I can count. It’s not fancy buy most sites work. I guess the Kodi programmers never heard of KISS (keep it simple stupid).
Today after a week of trying to make the 17.1 albatros work like 16.1 I gave up and reinstalled 16.1 and wow it is more simple in design but far superior in being simple to use and most addons work great.
I am having issues with Kodi 17 and tried to install Kodi 16.1, but the link I have no longer works. Do you have a URL for Kodi 16.1?

I installed 17.1 because I was having trouble getting anything to play on 16. Installed fusion, installed exodus. It appears to be installed correctly, but apparently not. I can go to TV shows, people watching, then click that and the ‘working’ icon shows up for a couple of seconds but then disappears and it does nothing. I cant figure out whats wrong.
Any suggestions would be appreciated

What a piece of crap! I’ve never been so frustrated with a piece of software. It takes so long to get into a show and bumping a control or hitting a key kicks you out of your show while it runs in the background and there appears to be no way to get back in – so you have to start all over again! If I go down a menu level in Exodus, I can’t go backup one – it skips a level and then goes back down two levels and there’s no way to get to the menu I want without exiting and starting over again. Half the time, I touch a control and nothing happens at all. Good thing it’s free software, because this interface is the worst ever!
I appreciate the value of what it does, but the interface is so shoddy, I would only recommend it to my worst enemies… 🙁

I’m having the same issue as Letitia and Keiry regarding the installation of Exodus. I have uninstalled/reinstalled Kodi 3 times and Kodi installs fine. I just can’t get Exodus to install due to the “The dependency on script.module. metahandler version 1.0.0 could not be satisfied” error. I have followed all steps to a tee. Any help? Thanks.

I had the same issue 5 mins ago but found a fix for it, install indigo addon through fusion, install from zip, fusion, begin-here. Click plugin.program.indigo-1.0.4.zip. wait about 10 seconds to install. Go to main menu click the indigo addon, addon installer, features addons, exodus. When exodus installs it will be blank so go to my addons, exodus then update it. Everything should be back to normal. You’re welcome 😉😉

The dependency problem for me was fixed:
– removing all kodi data
– reinstalling the exodus repo
Then I had to try a couple of time to install exodus addon because many time the installing process stopped with the error dependency problem … but everytime it manage to install some more dependency
I suspect the main issue is the exodus server slow and maybe the other repository I had added ( so maybe it was downloading dependency from other repo)
Whatever the auto-update was last night for Exodus, my app has been buffering since. I’ve uninstalled, re-installed, cleared everything, blah blah blah. The 3/26/2017 update killed Exodus on all my devices, including a 16gb RAM PC that’s hooked up via ethernet.
I installed exodus on mygica 495pro, in the movie section by year I am only getting 40 movies, I am. Not seeing some movies that are from 2016?
Installed on my fireTV and laptop (windows 10) and now all I get is no stream available on exodus and barely get any streams from phoenix….WTF?

I had to download just the ARM couldn’t get the other file to work tried 6 times download but when I went to install it is sad NO APP — but when I did just the ARM it worked and loaded. Is there any real difference betwee the two under that little Android

I installed Kodi, and followed all the steps for Exodus. When I go into the Exodus App click on anything (Movies, tv shows, search a show or movie etc…) It circles like it is going to find them and then doesn’t bring anything up.
Got Kodi installed, but there’s no content. Click on Action, the circle spins, but nothing shows up. Any ideas?
My exodus in kodi 17 was having trouble finding sources and I could not watch anything yesterday. I went through many steps trying to fix it. I even went back to the Amazon home screen and “cleared data” on the kodi app to wipe it clean. I then installed a new version of kodi 17. But now it seems like it has no dependencies, so it won’t let me download any add-ons. I have the Fredrick. And it keeps telling me I don’t have the dependencies to support any of them. Can someone please help?

I have Kodi on my laptop Ihave Exodus and Primewire both loaded to the program. I was getting movies and tv programs,but of late I can only get movies. Any suggestions???
Gar, Sounds like the exact opposite of what happened to me. Did it occur after upgrading to KODI 17? I’m trying to determine if it has to do with the latest version. My TV links are fine but there are absolutely no movies showing, almost like a link to the database of movies is broken or in your case, the link to the TV program database.
BTW, I have a second Fire Stick in the BR that hasn’t been updated to KODI 17 yet and the movies work fine on that one.
I have a weird situation on my Amazon Fire TV Stick. Updated KODI last week, looks outstanding. Was watching a TV series until yesterday. Went to look at movies in Exodus and none show up. I then went to Velocity and 1Channel, same thing. All the TV shows are there but nothing in movies. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Exodus but that didn’t help.
Anybody have any idea on what I need to do to fix it?

In 16.1 there was a toggle that allowed you to rename and delete files. I can not find that option in 17. Krypton. So I am not able to delete downloaded movies. Please help

Does anyone know how to be able to see Exodus icon right at the home menu where Netflix and all the apps are ? Instead of having to go through Kodi and then to add-ons to view Exodus.

Thanks for your input, I was struggling today with the installation as well, I installed “kodi-17.1-Krypton_rc1″it from the Kodi website and I pressed also on the Windows 10 installation icon.
After entering Kodi, I did the usuall setup \ configuration, and was able to identify the repositories as it should be. Unfortunatelly I was not able to install on any way the Add-Ons, I saw them but was not able to activate the install.
So, I removed the version I was working in, what I noticed was that I had 2 versions of the “same” Kodi installed on my PC, one by means of the “Windows 10 icon – Web based installer” and the other version by means of “kodi-17.1-Krypton_rc1” file.
So I removed them both, cleaned up the system and register, and tried to install again with the file “kodi-17.1-Krypton_rc1” …….. story was the same, could not install the Add-ons.
So I removed this version again and installed it by means of the “Windows 10 icon – Web based installer” and ……….. Yipee Kayee, …… works like a charm.
So bottom line, weird situation, I would say if Kodi does not work and if Add-Ons not can be installed, use the “Windows 10 icon – Web based installer” …. it worked for me.

I have installed Vibe Krypton 17 skin from Echo Wizard. Made some personal settup modifications, but when kodi is going down, I lost all personal configurations and kodi become with default settup. I change some addons shortcuts and skins but sometimes loose everything, time lost.
How can I record my settups configurations in order to have my personal configurations every time kodi is going down or every time I turn it off? Whar do I have to do? What is missing?

Tried installing Exodus.
Had dependency problems. Exodus couldn’t install.
SOLUTION
Uninstalled Kodi.
Installed clean version.
Followed instructions from this site to the letter.

tI get stuck on step 19, when I click Exodus the next screen comes up …. the install button is enabled, everything else is disabled. Click on the install button and nothing happens.

Had kodi/Exodus fine on old PC. Trying to install Exodus on new PC had several problems. Eventually reinstalled Kodi 17. Now trying to enter url for fusion repository (file manager) get message: no PVR addon enabled.

Think I just fixed it, I saw my source for Fusion had a space after the last forward slash. I took it away and now It’s connecting to the network.
kodi 17 just released to soon if you ask me far to complicated for the novice I know what am doing and it took me by surprise and a few minutes to find my way round. like Zulu64 said change your skin if you finding it to different.
Also sad to say the configure wizard which installed some favoured addons is no more you have to go though list and do one by one yet again ok if you know what you doing lets hope they do a new one for kodi 17 saved a lot of time.
Krypton is running fine for me but I hated the skin. I just went into settings, interfaces, skins and click on the current Estuary. Go to “get more” and install Confluence. You’ll still be on Krypton 17, but all menus run just like Jarvis 16.
I’ve figured it out!!! If you try .srp first and then fusion, .srp will counteract fusion, thus making it unable to download exodus. Restart to factory settings on your fire stick (if using fire stick) and this time just use fusion. Hope this helps!
Really like the clean layout of ‘krypton’.
Sony android TV installs and works fine, Fire stick installs then chucks you out when opening kodi 17 so having to use 16 on the fire stick, even tried factory reset on firestick and still the same issue
The latest update of Exodus seems to be having compatibility issues as no movies will stream since I updated to Krypton

I tried to install overtop my existing Jarvis install and it says it’s not compatible. This is directly from google play store. It worked fine on my android 6 box. But the problematic box is android running 5.1.1 with 2 gigs ram. Maybe a side load from USB?
I would download ES File Explorer and browse directly to the Kodi website. Install it that way from their downloads section. Before you pick a build you need to figure out whether your Android box has an ARM, x86 or x86 64-bit processor though. There are builds for all three on their site. If you’re using FireTV, I’d recommend plugging in a mouse to help you navigate the site.

Kodi 17 no longer identifies HD or 1080p versions of a film/tv/ media you want to play, Jarvis 16.1 used to have the better quality versions at the top, is there anyway to get version 17 to list media in the same way?
Mine does. I think maybe you’re just picking movies that don’t have a 1080p or HD distro available to view online. I get that occasionally with older stuff, but anything new has an HD variant and it’s listed like it used to be listed with the HD and 1080P at the top.

I totally agree! Kodi 17 is slow and freezes when I rewind or fast-forward programs! I am going back to16!
Found a fix in a youtube video and seems like it works. Disable Hardware Acceleration under Video (expert mode) and you will find rewinding and forwarding a much smoother operation.

I had Krypton Estuary installed and running exodus perfectly using this tutorial (Mac user) for about two days, then I shut down Kodi by selecting Exit and all my custom settings were wiped out the next time I tried opening Kodi.
Ok, Fresh Kodi download and install. This time when I try to Add Source (fusion) I get a message saying
NO PVR ADD ON ENABLED
You need a Tuner, back end software, and an add on for the back end to be able to use PVR. Please Visit…

this happened to me, when I installed Krypton with windows 10. I ended up with two icons on the desk top. One for Jarvis 16.1 and the new one for Krypton. However in control panel only th Jarvis version was shown. I took a chance and deleted this.
Luckily it only left the new version!
when install rename the new folder location with the installation version like “KODI 16” and will separate the programs and the system will see it as different one.

All builds have been canceled do to new krpton. But you can go to interfaces SNF change skin from there

Same happens to me no matter what I try. I am using app on Sony Bravia. Uninstalled and reinstalled still no change. Was working fine then tv shows stopped listing but movies still worked ok, then tried to fresh start to get tv shows back and now nothing works, please help.
