The MECOOL KM2 is a Android 10 TV box with an S905X2 CPU and 2GB of RAM.
This makes it a good basic media player for streaming videos from online sources and playing 4K resolution.

Summary
The MECOOL KM2 is a good basic Android TV box that works well at basic game play and playing 4K videos.
It is along the same performance as the Google Chromecast but with more ports and expand-ability.
For example it can have the internal memory size increased with an SD card to boost the default 8GB.
The 2GB of RAM is on the low side but the unit works well enough for basic tasks most use Android TV boxes for.
If you need more performance the MECCOL KM6 has twice the performance as the KM2 but does cost more.
I am still testing the unit so far with good results and will update if anything changes.
As always be sure to read the reviews on Amazon, forums, or elsewhere to be sure a unit is a good fit for you.
It took 6 weeks to get it easy set up the sound quality was great but it went to crap after a couple of weeks it’s now slow to get going
I’m enjoying my firestick.
Got it only for three months ago and I’m really tired trying to make it work. Green light always open and the mecool km2 not responding to remote control.
It doesn’t open whatever you do.
Dead finito
You didn’t mention that in actuality there is only 4.5gig of space on these boxes. The company claims — only after I purchased two of these units and complained about the storage space — it’s because the OS is in that 8gig. 3.5gig, half of the so-called storage space is taken up by the OS? Also, they make no mention of this anywhere in their advertising. Misleading or false advertising. Likely not worth my time to return them as it took almost 30 days to get here in the first place, but I’ll certainly never buy anything else from this misleading company.
The Mecool KM2 is far from a friendly, easy to use, streaming device. Unlike the Firestick remote the KM2 remote cannot control 2 devices at the same time. For example, a Samsung sound bar and a Samsung TV. While you can control one or the other, unlike the firestick remote, you cannot control both at the same time. Simply turning 2 devices on is a nightmare.
The Firestick you can load a fully functional web browser on, like Silk, on the KM2 there isn’t one that allows you to surf the web and stream from, and no Puffin is not a viable alternative as it has usage restrictions and limits unless you pay. After just one day and 10 hrs I don’t believe this unit is better than the firestick just because it has Netflix certification and plays it in 4K. I don’t use or watch Netflix or YouTube. For me this unit was a waste of money and time. The remote is inferior to the firestick one, not only in functionality but in comfort and esthetics. For example, the navigation ring is too wide and the enter key to small, resulting in extreme fatigue for your thumb as you have to use the tip and not the pad of your thumb. I give this unit a 3 out of 5.
